In order to increase farmers' incomes, the Chinese government encourages them to grow high value-added produce. Nonetheless, due to their small-scale operation and lack of technical skills, they find it difficult to make changes. Chaoda's business model transforms fragmented and small-scale farming into standardized, large-scale farming, leading to greater efficiency and higher productivity. Farmers are better equipped to withstand market risk and earn higher incomes under the new business model.

The Group pays a premium to farmers for land leases and recruits them as Chaoda's employees. It has made heavy investments in improving fields and building infrastructure such as roads, drainages, green houses and shelters. Large-scale and standardized operations also make it possible to take maximum advantage of high quality seed stock, bio-fertilizers, scientific and effective pest control technology, stringent quality controls and detailed specifications of its operational processes such as breeding, harvesting and grading of crops. Farmers' incomes are thus greatly increased while the quality of produce is enhanced. They are more resilient to withstand the market risk.
